For almost three years, I’ve been working on my first novel. Finally it’s all done-the writing, editing, revising, and now the self-publishing part. There have been some times when I considered giving up on it. What’s the point? This is too hard. Will anyone even care? But ultimately I thought of my young self. The little girl who loved writing stories and dreamed of being a writer someday. And I thought of myself as a 90 year old. I would hate to have regrets. I realized that even if nobody else gives a damn, I do. And now I’m so thankful that I did not give up on myself. When I got the paperback copy of my book, I felt genuinely so damn proud of myself. It was all worth it!
